Our principal’s background

Lyvers LLC was formed in 2026. It is led by its founder, Glenn Lyvers, who brings more than 30 years of hands-on work in web technology, software, security, publishing, and teaching. The experience below is his, from the businesses and projects he has founded and run.

Web hosting & development: Instant Access, since 1995

Glenn founded and still operates Instant Access Internet Services, a web hosting and development business. It provides:

• administration of the Linux web servers behind the business: setup, LiteSpeed/cPanel, load balancing, patching, and monitoring;
• mail server administration: setup, deliverability, and spam and malware filtering;
• custom email newsletters and mailing list services for clients;
• server security systems: firewalls, intrusion prevention, and hardening;
• server backup and recovery systems: RAID redundancy, automated and offsite backups, and restores;
• shared and reseller hosting on those servers;
• domain registration and DNS management;
• server and website migrations between hosts;
• SSL certificates, uptime monitoring, maintenance, updates, and ongoing client support;
• website design and troubleshooting;
• custom programming, web and mobile applications, and search optimization.

Website security & recovery, since 2012

Through fixmyhackedwebsite.com, Glenn cleans and restores hacked websites on WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento, and other platforms. The work covers malware removal, blacklist recovery, server management, hardening, and performance repair.

Every job ends with a written report that explains the problem and the fix in plain language.

Software

• Green Submissions. Free, self-hosted submission-management software for literary magazines, used by about 230 sites. It covers submission tracking, blind reading by volunteer editors, revision collaboration, and contest management. It was built with security in mind: parameterized queries, bcrypt password hashing, CSRF protection, and bot prevention.
• AmIBlacklisted.com. A free public reputation checker that tests any IP address or domain against 27 blacklist providers and Google Safe Browsing in parallel.
• Free WordPress plugins. More than a dozen plugins for security hardening, spam and content-theft protection, site repair, auditing, media management, and SEO.
• Interactive learning. Browser-based games and decision trainers that teach through instant feedback.

Publishing & editing: Prolific Press, since 2009

Glenn founded and edits Prolific Press, an independent literary publisher.

• Has edited and published more than 75 books and chapbooks and more than 150 journal issues.
• Publishes four journals: Poetry Quarterly, Three Line Poetry, Haiku Journal, and 100 Word Fiction.
• Runs the International Chapbook Series, with poets from more than 30 countries.
• Handles editing, layout, print production, and the web platforms behind the press.

He also runs Observed.org, which turns recent court opinions into accurate, plain-language articles for general readers.

Teaching & training

• Live one-on-one programming mentoring over Zoom, from web front ends to back-end and systems languages.
• Designed 12-week technical curricula in WordPress security (15 modules) and artificial intelligence (beginner, intermediate, and advanced tracks).
• WordPress security and repair videos on YouTube.
• WebsiteSelfHelp.com: a free, ad-free library of step-by-step guides, checklists, and diagnostic tools that help website owners fix common problems themselves, covering security, speed, WordPress, hosting, DNS, email, SEO, and more.
• Writing workshops and mentoring, and a live online poetry reading group held regularly for several years and published on YouTube.

Education

Attended Indiana University, the Robertson School of Government, and Regent University School of Law.
